Police Character Certificate (PCC), also referred to as Police Clearance Certificate/Report, shows the holders criminal background in Nigeria. It can also be issued to foreigners who live/resided in Nigeria for at least 30 days.

The required documents are:

• State of Origin
• State of Residence
• Local Government of Residence in Nigeria.
• Passport Data Page
• Country of usage

To use the document abroad, it should be notarized by a Notary Public and authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja depending on the country.
